Incoming Text: Some advice on peep toes and hose, please! Every shoe I like is peep toe, but I hate to wear really high heels without hose – they kill my feet!

There are two responses to this great question:
1) If you prefer to wear nylon stockings/thin trouser socks with heels, make certain that it’s a closed-toe shoe. If the closed-toe shoe is a sling-back, make certain that you wear nylon stockings in nude or a sheer black shade, NOT a stocking with design or embellishment.
2) If you like the look of a peep-toe shoe and want height with support, I suggest a WEDGED peep-toe. Below are some great options for spring/summer – all found at DSW.

I agree that hose with peep toes definitely look a little weird, but if you wear colored tights I think it looks fine. (I only do black and brown, I’m not quite brave enough to take on purple tights!) Just make sure you get the ones without seams on the toe…because that’s just tacky!
